Under the leadership of Yeşil Vatan Platform, and in collaboration with Anadolu Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV) and Istanbul Aydın University, “Zero Waste Trainings” are conducted each academic term as part of the orientation program for first-year students at Istanbul Aydın University.
The primary goal of the project is to increase the environmental awareness of newly enrolled students, instill sustainable lifestyle habits at an early stage, and ensure that the zero waste approach becomes an integral part of their university life through a sense of individual responsibility.
Accordingly, the training programs encourage students to use resources efficiently, reduce waste generation, and actively participate in recycling and upcycling processes. The project also aims to foster sustainability-oriented behavioral change across the campus.
